About the

Experimental Modern Dance

KANEKO and tbd. dance collective partner to put on the Movement Series. Engaging audience members in unconventional ways, these highly immersive experiences challenge viewers to see modern dance as more than just a performance. As the Marketing and Communications Manager at KANEKO, I created unique digital and traditional marketing campaigns for each of their performances.

Local & National Outreach

Each exhibition at KANEKO is completely different and each season centers around a different theme. Using work from artists in the exhibition as inspiration, tbd. dance collective creates custom modern dance performances around the work. I led the creative direction for all communication, media outreach and materials leading up to each of these performances.

Social Media Management

The majority of the audience for the Movement Series communicates online. I managed and created all content for KANEKO’s social media accounts in order to keep our audience engaged and updated on all performances. To grow our reach and sell more tickets, we collaborated with local business to promote and share events leading up to the performances. I also offered special ticket giveaways on our own account to boost excitement.

Email Marketing

I used our email database to target individuals that were likely to come to the movement series performances creating custom email marketing campaigns to drive ticket sales.
